NY: After Hours Private Reception & Exclusive Access @ Museum of Food and Drink

The Museum of Food and Drink (MOFAD) proudly holds the title as New York City's first food museum, and they are inviting IVY members on-site, after-hours to enjoy exclusive access to their summer exhibition, Chow: Making the Chinese American Restaurant. This exhibit provides a thought provoking journey through the evolution of Chinese American restaurants, tracing their nearly 170-year history and sparking conversation about food culture, immigration, and what it means to be American. Members will enjoy two complimentary drinks, along with a tasting of delicious dumplings, throughout the tour.

The exhibition features a 7,250 take-out box wall, 1,500 lb. fortune cookie machine, an induction studio kitchen, and a one-of-a-kind Smell Synth that allows guests to experience over 500,000 different natural and artificial scents. Beautifully designed and lovingly curated by MOFAD, these artifacts show the evolution of the cuisine, decade by decade.
