SF: Culture Night - JAWS Feature Film with the San Francisco Symphony @ Davies Symphony Hall

Members joined us to experience Steven Spielberg’s action-suspense blockbuster film Jaws like never before with a live orchestral performance by the San Francisco Symphony! Widely considered one of the most influential adventures in film history, Jaws is an American classic with some of the most terrifying music ever written for the cinema. John Williams’ score for the film awarded him the 1975 Academy Award for Best Original Score, and is still known today as one of the most memorable scores in film history. We watched the film as the San Francisco Symphony performed John Williams’ iconic score live — an amazing opportunity to experience every nail-biting twist in a whole new way!

Before we took our seats for the screening, we had the opportunity to meet with San Francisco Symphony’s Assistant to the Artistic Planning Director, Joseph Woodward, for an introduction on the symphony’s film series. We also experienced an exclusive backstage tour to get a look at the behind-the-scenes process of this musical performance!
