Members joined us for a special IVY Art Tour as we explored the works and hidden life of one of Europe’s greatest modernists: the iconic French designer and architect, Pierre Chareau. Chareau was one of the most sought-after designers in France, balancing the luxuriousness of traditional French artform with interior designs that were stylish and practical. The Jewish Museum presents the first U.S. exhibition focused on his work, Modern Architecture and Design, showcasing rare furniture, lighting fixtures, and interiors, along with the designs for his extraordinary Maison de Verre, the glass house completed in Paris in 1932. This unique exhibition, featuring over 180 rarely-seen works, was an incredible opportunity to explore hidden jewels from major public and private collections in Europe and the United States. After the tour, we headed to an after-party hosted at Eli's Essentials & Wine Bar and enjoyed a complimentary first drink with a great group of IVY members.
